STAT 211 will be a six week online course during the first summer session. There will be no synchronous meeting times required, although online office hours will be available. STAT 211 introduces students to the discipline of statistics as a science of understanding and analyzing data. Students learn how to collect and analyze data to make inferences and conclusions about real world phenomena. Data analyses will be conducted using R. Due to the condensed duration of the course, you should anticipate spending approximately 20 hours per week on this course. Students are expected to keep up with the course material every week for all six weeks of the course. Students will need reliable access to the internet to watch course videos, access course work on Blackboard, and submit homework electronically.

Grades will be based on weekly R Labs, homework assignments, Yellowdig participation, and midterm and final exams.
