Designed for graduate students concentrating in programs in Higher Education. Analysis and discussion of current issues and problems in higher education.

This course is an in-depth overview of the pedagogy of teaching in higher education. Evidence-based research findings that inform teaching will be explored. The frameworks of High Impact Educational Practices, Universal Design for Learning, as well as Backward Design, will scaffold the participant’s design of a course syllabus, course learning activities, and student assessments.
Completion of asynchronous course activities in weekly modules
Course Syllabus Design as a final project, peer review, online discussion, and personal teaching reflective journal
