Section Description

An introductory level studio course held online. Topics and coursework focus on the development and use of illustrative imagery in communication.

Section Expectation

Typical format: hands on computer lab work using Adobe Illustrator CC and Photoshop CC, lecture and demonstration. Students should have an Adobe software subscription, as well as a computer/laptop that is reliable and that runs the software. Development of work outside of class is expected. Referenced (not required) Textbook: The Digital Art Technique Manual for Illustrators and Artists by Lardner and Roberts. ISBN:0764147900 9780764147906 No fieldwork is required. Development of work outside of class is expected.

Evaluation

Students are assessed via a range of 4 constructed illustration projects.
