Designed to cover selected educational problems in depth. The major emphasis will be on intensive and critical analysis of the literature and practice in a given area.

In this online course participants will examine different techniques to enhance children’s natural curiosity for self-motivation. Many see curiosity as an innate ability but is it constant or is it a perishable skill? Can it be developed and enhanced? Participants will examine curiosity at different age levels and seek to bond the characteristics of curiosity. They will look for ways to enhance curiosity by examining different techniques to foster learner’s curiosity. A dearth of research exists due mostly to lack of measurable metrics. Participants will engage in their own research to investigate, 1) Can curiosity be cultivated and developed? 2) If the answer to the first question is yes, how can curiosity be developed and what techniques can be used to bring it to the forefront?
