Survey of MIDI and digital audio sequencing, notation, accompaniment, and multimedia software for music composition/arranging, performance, and pedagogy, including survey of pedagogical music software. Prerequisite: MU 009 or Instructor permission.

In this course, students will learn basic ideas of how technology is used in music production. The topics will include acoustic physics, history of music technology, basic hardware set up, music notation using Sibelius, electronic music production with Logic Pro X, and music video making.
Must have a basic understanding of music theory (Prerequisite: MU 009), and computer operation.
One exam and three projects. Attendance is required, and unexcused absences will affect the final grade.
