More Information

Section Description

PH306 explores the WHY-WHAT-HOW of behavior change through the lens of both theory and practice. We learn models, frameworks and theories that help us think about behavior, as well as the social, environmental and political influences that shape and reinforce behavior choices. Equity and access are always important elements in this work. Major project assignments apply your learning, culminating in a grant proposal that mimics those that agencies and organizations frequently use to seek funding.

Section Expectation

This summer course is highly condensed and fast paced. It is not recommended that students take another summer course concurrently.

Evaluation

Weekly writing reflections and discussion groups apply what you are learning, and are graded with multi-point scales in several composition categories. Three major assignments showcase your learning.
