Course content focuses on the development and use of illustration in communication: type, style, purpose and context/format.

Typical format: hands on computer lab work, some lecture and demonstration Textbook: The Digital Art Technique Manual for Illustrators and Artists by Lardner and Roberts. ISBN:0764147900 9780764147906 Development of work outside of class is expected - research and sketching.

Students are assessed via a range of digitally constructed illustration projects.
