Section Description

The ONLINE course will introduce you to the rich and diverse archaeological past of Native Americans in North and Latin America. The brief survey begins with a general introduction to the archaeological research and its goals, and then highlights the people and places beginning with the peopling of Americas some 14,000 years ago, to the arrival of Europeans by the sixteenth century. The content includes slide shows, short readings, online videos, and discussion modules. No textbook is required--all materials are provided via Blackboard.

Evaluation

Students are evaluated through short quizzes, discussion board, and essays.
