Once classes start and you’ve had a week to settle in and adjust to your schedule, we’re back with tons of free events and opportunities. Meet new people, connect with clubs and get to know campus, Burlington, and beyond.
Friday, January 10th

Good Morning Catamount Breakfast
8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Where: Grand Maple Ballroom (Davis Center)
Grab a quick bite to eat to start your morning off right.

January Orientation
9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Where: Davis Center, 4th Floor
Meet the Orientation Staff and learn about life on campus. Get your questions answered from a variety of campus partners and academic support services, and finalize your course schedule (if you haven’t already).

Radical Self-Care Workshop for Transfer Students
3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Where: Living Well Studio, 1st floor of Davis Center
Learning to take care of yourself in college can be challenging and none of us can do it alone. In this workshop, you can explore a variety of self-care and resiliency practices. Swing through Living Well anytime to use their massage chair, spend some time with their Friday Therapy Dogs, and learn more about the wealth of health and wellbeing resources on campus.

Green & Gold Induction Ceremony (Mandatory)
4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Where: Grand Maple Ballroom
UVM’s provost, Patty Prelock, will host this celebration that marks the official beginning of the year. Join us for your offical induction into the UVM community. Free UVM shirtshirts for all new students will be provided, as well as refreshments and beverages!

New Student Dinner Meetups with OLs
5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Where: Harris/Millis Dining
Connect with your Orientation Leader(s) and fellow new students over dinner in the halls.

Crafts & Snacks: Mug Decorating!
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Where: Livak Ballroom
Enjoy some free pizza, meet new people, listen to some sweet tunes, and decorate your own warm mug!

UVM vs. Dartmouth Men's Ice Hockey
7:05 p.m.
Where: Gutterson Fieldhouse
Show your Student ID and catch the UVM Men's Ice Hockey game - for FREE! Cheer on your school and show some UVM pride. Meet up with OLs in the lobby of the Patrick Gym at 6:45pm if you want to head into the game together!
Saturday, January 11th

Burlington Farmer's Market
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where:Davis Center Atrium
Join the UVM and larger Burlington community and enjoy over 50 vendors offering a surprising array of hardy produce, prepared foods, crafts, and much more!

Brunch/Lunch

Take a breath and fill your tank by grabbing a bite to eat in the halls.

Spring Splash

Where:Living/Learning Commons Fireplace Lounge
Explore the Fireplace Lounge with your new friends! Enjoy free food, play bingo, video games, arts and crafts, and win lots of giveaways – or just come hang out and get any lingering questions answered by Orientation Leaders and Transfer Student Volunteers.
