large numbers of interactive users with decent performance.
Ability to:
- run other operating
systems(including itself) as guests
- run multiple copies of the
same OS
- run multiple versions of
the same OS
- create, modify and test OS
code on production system without special priviledges
Currently used at UVM
for:
- Running multiple operating
environments, including production and test versions of VSE/ESA on
ES9000
- CMS is used for interactive
access, program development & maintenance, statistical
analysis (SAS), email, calendaring/scheduling (PROFS) and small
database applications (FOCUS).
