Internet host names for CIT hosts

All CIT hosts are in the uvm.edu domain. Therefore the full name is created by appending "uvm.edu". For example, the full Internet name of zoo is zoo.uvm.edu; pop is pop.uvm.edu; smtp is smtp.uvm.edu; etc.

Note that some hosts and servers at UVM are in departmental subdomains, such as EMBA (Engineering, Mathematics and Business Administration). To form the full name of hosts in this subdomain, for example, one should append "emba.uvm.edu" to the host name.

Zoo Accounts for UVM affiliates

UVM students, faculty and staff are granted free accounts on UVM's Unix cluster dubbed "Zoo".

For details see CIT Policies
Academic Host Account Eligibility Guidelines
Obtaining an account on Zoo.
