Description
All are welcome and encouraged to climb at the UVM Vertical climbing wall. Climbing here is completely free! Our facility caters to all levels - first timers and beginners to experienced dudes looking to train and pull down hard. Our knowledgeable, experienced and fully trained staff can teach anyone to belay and teach basic principals of moving in the vertical plane. We generally have about 20 routes set from 5.5 to 5.12, and many in the 5.7 to 5.10 range, distributed over 850 square feet. Test yourself on vertical, over hanging terrain, arêtes, laybacks, and other features - sorry, no cracks.

Where is it?
The UVM Wall is located in the lobby of the new Gucciardi Fitness/Rec Sports Center at the south end of the gym, in with the tracks and the weight rooms). Stop by any time to learn about climbing - if you have no clue what climbing involves and want to learn the basics, we can help. If you are looking for a new crag or a wicked route in the northeast, we can often help too. If you want to get pumped before dinner, that's us too.
