Hello, welcome! My name is
SADEGH
A Biomechanical Problem Solver
A fourth year PhD student working as a research assistant in the Musculoskeletal Imaging and Orthopedic Biomechanics lab at the University of Vermont.

As a part of a biomechanics team, my research expertise is using 3D motion capture, wearables, machine learning, high-speed dual fluoroscopy and MR imaging to assess the effects of sport-related injuries on the mechanics of joints.

Expertise

Human Motion Biomechanics

4 years of experience with the use of motion capture, wearable and EMG sensors, quantitative MRI and computer models with high-speed dual Fluoroscopy on patients post-trauma

Data Analysis/Visualization

Developed algorithms, software and GUIs on Matlab and Python to quantify joint kinematics, cartilage contact mechanics, stress/strain analysis and muscle activation.

Leadership

Managing an NIH-funded study at the UVM medical center. Mentoring more than 10 graduate/undergraduate on biomechanics research in the musculoskeletal imaging and orthopedic biomechanics lab
