E.coli is a Gram-negative rod. It appears as a off white, round colonie on TSA media. E.coli is a lactose-fermentor on MacConkeys agar. It has a garbage like oder. E.coli is normal flora of the intestines of all animals and humans. It causes gastroventeritis in humans, it also is the leading cause of urinary tract infections.
