Students are expected to attend all classes, to read the assigned texts thoroughly and critically, and to participate in class discussions, including the e-mail discussion list. While attendance does not constitute a specific percentage of the final grade, your overall pattern of attendance will be taken into consideration when your final grade is determined.
Written requirements include: a in-class quiz on Buddhist terms, a series critical response papers based on class readings, and a ritual research project.
