~ Silly Stuff ~

I like to play games, although I don't do it very often. My former housemate Jim found this cool program called Xmame, which is definitely worth checking out. It allows you to play many classic arcade games on a modern computer.

This is an "at your own risk" page, where I'm experimenting with netscape supported html codes. It may be a really cool experience, or a pile of wreckage.

Related to the above warning... I keep a page of somewhat random list of lists of sites I have been to (in most cases). You are welcome to look, but I will warn you that it always looks unfinished and it's REALLY old.

Here is my bookmarks file from Cichlid, my workstation at work. Peer into this at your own risk. I got sick of it being an endless mess a while ago, and organized it fairly well. Let's see if it stays that way. :-)

By reading this, you can figure out how to start making your own home page.. and when you've mastered that document, here is a more comprehensive reference.

Here's UVM's own funky radio station's web page, WRUV. You can HEAR them LIVE ON THE WEB if you want to, isn't that SO COOL? If you can't hear them, download the new version of the RealNetworks player so you can. Yipee. No more muzak at work! Just in case you're curious, they broadcast at 90.1 FM in Burlington, VT, USA.

Here's an interesting page I happened across - Friday Night Improv. Some of the games sound like they could be a lot of fun, even at a casual party or when keeping company with older children... when mad libs and charades start getting old.. :-)

I've gotten into knitting lately. I made myself a pair of wool slippers, and just finished my first baby blanket this winter. My next project after that (and maybe a few more slippers for friends, to boost my self confidence) will be a nice cardigan sweater for me. There are a billion free knitting patterns on the web - even a "free knitting patterns web ring"!. If you have no clue how to knit, try looking at Tom Farrell's "Learn How To Knit" page, it's the best beginner's guide on the web that I've found. When I figure out all the codes, I'm hoping to make my own little web page with explanations for all the crazy terms I can't find definitions for. Need yarn? Try looking at Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney, VT !!

I enjoy playing racquetball with my sweetie, or anyone else who would bother to play with someone who plays mostly for fun and exercise, and less so for the sport of it... Every time Mike and I play, we swear that we'll go look up the REAL rules one of these days! Thing is, I never have the patience to sit there and read them. Oh well!
