LAT 251 Roman Letters
We'll read through letters posted on the Google Document on Mondays and
Wednesdays, and on Fridays we'll discuss secondary readings listed below.
They are simply a list of articles I found probably of interest about
Cicero's epistolary works. The idea is to read them and talk about what
the article is and what it accomplishes.
We'll all write commentaries on letters: you choose the letters, which
should be at least the following lengths (if this is your first
class after 05X level latin, 80 words: if this is your second class after
05X level Latin, 120 words; if you are an undergraduate and have taken
more Latin than that, 150 words; if you are a graduate student, 150 words,
but more is highly encouraged).
They are due: Oct. 2nd, Oct. 30th, and Dec. 4th.
