Graded Elements of this Course

Platonic dialogue alternative paths
7.5% each: for the most part, you get full credit if you fulfill the assignment's requirements to depart from a specific point in a dialogue, to treat philosophical matters of import, and to be coherent and good English. Also, it should be about 3 pages (750 words), I think I said. I will be generous in my interpretation of those things, but there are some obvious limits.
Summary and presentation of articles
25%: the grade you receive on the written summary is what counts for this.
Argument Analyses
40%: I will grade three of these:
the Phaedo one, the Republic tripartite soul one, and one of the others assigned of your choosing:
each graded one will count for 10%, and simply doing the rest will count for 10%.
In case you feel this hits you unfairly, I will allow you to resubmit the Republic analysis. Notice that it is now open for you to resubmit.
Please let me know by email which other analysis I should grade. If you don't, I will use the Euthyphro grade in its place.
Final
10% the final will be entirely remote. It will have a time limit, so once you open it, you will have to finish it within the time limit. Those with ACCESS issues, please email me or talk to me about what will make this work for you: depending on what that is, I cannot guarantee that you can do it remotely.
Daily Comments
10%: I will count up how many days there were available for comments, see who turned in the most comments, subtract 3 from that (you are allowed to miss 3), and that number will be the benchmark (i.e. whoever gets that number will get all of the 10%, while those who fall short will get proportionately less of the 10%.

Anything I do not get graded by the last day of classes gets 100%.

This has been a strange semester, and I hope you can afford me some forgiveness for taking more time than usual to get grades back to you.
