The 1890 Hopkins Map indentifies Mrs. A. Goddard with this building. [1] The 1890 Burlington City Directory lists a Mrs. Anna Goddard as living at this residence.[2]

The 1890 Hopkins Map indentifies G.D. Sherwin with this building. [3]The 1888-1889 Burlington City Directory lists a G.D. Sherwin as an electrician working at 181 College Street and living at 16 Center Street.[4]  The 1890 Directory lists him as living at 28 Hickok Place on the corner of Converse Court.[5]

The 1890 Hopkins Map indicates no name with this building.[6] A historic site survey dates the building to 1889 and says that architect Z.T. Austin designed 32 Hickok Place for Dr. A.J. Willard.  It was most likely a rental property for the middle income working class.[7]
