This building is a two-story vernacular Queen Anne style home, with a cross-gabled roof. Much of the house is original, though the side wing on the east elevation and the entrance porch on the west elevation are probably not original. The turned columns on the two-story entry porch and the bay window with a hipped roof are all characteristics of the Queen Anne style. The roof is slate; the foundation is stone. The siding is a replacement; the mixture of one-over-one and two-over-two windows indicates that some of them have also been replaced.
The name listed on the 1890 map for this structure was N. Millett. This is one of the few occasion in the Old North End where the name on the map corresponds to the occupant. Nelson Millett was employed by G. Devarenes in the 1889-1890 Directory.[1] After this year, however, the history of the building becomes blank. It is not seen in the directories for years, and it is unclear why.
