Vermont City Marathon 2004
This year we had two marathoners in the family. Walter completed it in
3:41 and Hope did her first ever marathon in 4:45. WooHoo!! The day
started out cool and sunny but warmed up quickly. A light wind helped
for part of it, but not for other parts. The crowd was great.
Highlights included the bagpipe players, the Taiko drummers to help
with the "assualt on Battery Street hill" and the Sambutacada drummers
way out on the beltline that kept everyone going. (see VCM website for
course/info: http://www.vcm.org)
Three cheers for ibuprofin!!
