Located in the Morrisville Extension office, I provide non-credit educational programs on Maple for the central and northeast regions of Vermont, and Farm Safety programs, statewide.
I live in Hyde Park, with my wife, Dorothy and two of our children, Dennis and Heather. Wendy, our oldest is a Junior at RIT in Rochester, New York. She is studying Criminal Justice, with plans of making a career in law enforcement, along with her l ove for emergency medical work. Dennis, an Eagle Scout, is planning to pursue a career as a jet pilot; he has already taken up sky diving, with 11 accelerated "free-falls" under his belt, 3 of those "solo". Heather, a sophomore, hopes to enter college w ith a softball scholarship, her specific plans not yet set.
We have a small maple sugarbush on our property, where I tap about 65 trees and produce 20 - 22 gallons of pure maple syrup each spring. A lot of work, but, a whole lot of fun, too. The end product is well worth the effort.
Give me a holler, I'd love to talk maple with you.
