INFINITIVE FORM -
Infinitive form of a verb always comes following an auxilary verb such as Can, Like, and so forth.
Infinitive form always starts with a "Lamed" and the 2nd letter is not a Vav.

If there
are
5 letters:
if the 5th letter is anything but a TAV
- than the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th are the root letters.
If the 5th letter is a TAV
- than the 2nd, 3rd, and a HAY are the root letters.
If there
are
only 4 letters:
- than the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are the root letters.
(if "Lamed" is voweled with a ":" => Piel)

MASCULINE AND FEMININE SINGULAR

If there are
less than 4 letters:
-than the 1st, a VAV, and, 2nd are the root letters.
If there 4
letters and up:
If the 2nd letter is a VAV:
-than the 1st, 3rd, and 4th are the root letters.
If the 2nd letter is not a VAV (Piel):
-than the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are the root letters.

MASCULINE AND FEMININE PLURAL

If there are
only 4 letters:
-than the 1st, a VAV, and, 2nd are the root letters.
If there are
5 letters:
-than the 1st, the 3rd and a "Hay" are the root letters.
If there 6
letters:
If the 2nd letter is a VAV:
-than the 1st, 3rd, and 4th are the root letters.
If the 2nd letter is not a VAV (Piel):
-than the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are the root letters.

Adjustments will be made when we work with "PY", "PH" and study "Hifeel" Structure .The few exceptions to the definition of infinitive form will not be visited throughout the courses Hebrew1 to 52.
