MARGARET D. SLINSKI

Biographical Profile

M
argaret Slinski has worked for over fourteen years with families at risk as a teacher of emotionally disturbed youth, as a human services consultant working with parents of children identified as abused or neglected, and as a specialist with the University of Massachusetts Cooperative Extension initiating family life/community development programming. The Master Teacher in Family Life program is the result of her many experiences with vulnerable families as well as much research relative to poverty issues that affect today's families.

A
s a result of the success of this program, Ms. Slinski is currently supervising statewide staff implementing both inner-city and rural Master Teacher programs. With the availability of a research-based manual, Ms. Slinski has begun supporting long-term change for families in poverty both in Massachusetts and in other states.
