  Cohen on "Assigning Competence" and Dreikurs, Floy, and Pepper on "Encouragement and Praise." [Read in class.]  Assign competence at least twice.  Be prepared to describe the scene next week - what they were doing, what you said, what happened as a result.  Also, bring Cooperative Discipline next week.  Please read 1-28 before class.
