Course Objectives:
A. To provide an understanding of basic skills requisite to setting up and operating a small business, including accounting, budgeting, pricing, advertising, and inventory control.
B. To expose the student to the legal, regulatory, and taxation issues that confront small business persons.

Conduct of Course and Expectations of Students
The lecture method will be the principal vehicle for imparting information. Students will be expected to read the text and class handouts as directed in the course outline. Homework exercises will be given from time to time, to assist in learning the basic accounting and decision making skills. All homework must be completed and ready for class discussion or correction at the designated time. No credit will be given for late submissions.
