Why did you choose UVM?

I chose UVM because I love Vermont and wanted to go to a school that offered Animal Science as a major.

Favorite aspect of CALS:

My favorite aspect of CALS is the uniqueness of the classes offered and the eagerness of professors to work with students.

What would you like to do after you graduate?

After I graduate I would like to go to vet school and help rehabilitate abused dogs.

Favorite class at UVM:

My favorite class at UVM was EQUUS because it combined the hands-on experience of taking care of a horse with a semester long project. It provided a real world experience and was a break from the traditional lecture style learning.

Favorite Outside The Classroom Experience Relating to CALS:

My favorite outside the classroom experience I had was an internship I did with the Humane Society of Chittenden County where I worked as an assistant to the medical supervisor at the shelter.

Extracurricular Activities:

Some of my extracurricular activities include playing the cello, skiing, volunteering at hospitals and nursing homes with my certified
therapy dog, and working at a local vet clinic.
