Filter by Selection Made Easy
- Select text to filter by.
- Right-click.
- Select Filter by Selection.
- If you select the entire value, Access will look for exact matches.
- If you select a text string at the beginning (or end) of a value, Access will only find matches at the beginning (or end) of values.
- If you select a text string in the middle of an entry, values that have those characters in any position will be displayed.
- Use the Advanced Filter/Sort window when you have any doubts about which expression Access is using to filter records.
- Records | Filter | Advanced Filter/Sort.
- In this window you can see the expression access is using as it’s criteria.
