Research Overview

Alice's primary areas of research are disasters, family, and inequality. I am interested in exploring the issues of vulnerability and inequality and the ways in which various forms of inequality — such as those based on race, gender, class, age — play out in people's everyday lives and how it contributes to their vulnerability during times of crisis.
