Since we live on a dirt road about a mile from U.S. Route 2, our cats
managed to survive for more than 14 years without getting squished.
Bert became old and feeble and was relieved of his suffering in November
1997. Grover suddenly refused to eat or drink anything in March 2002 and
is no longer with us. Ernie started acting sickly the first of June 2003
and died overnight.
