Converting cow manure
into electricity and other energy products on dairy farms: Financial and economic analysis and policy
implications
Wang, Qingbin
Closely linked to this project are state
and national initiatives aimed at increasing the supply of renewable
electricity supplied to the grid. In the Northeast, dairy manure has been
identified as a suitable feedstock for use in anaerobic digester systems (ADS)
that generate electricity because it is derived from plant-based sources (dairy
cow feed), and is available in consistent, regular quantities for 24/7
generation.
