Acting in accordance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Vermont Department of Health (VDOH), the university remains open for business. Existing university policies, procedures, handbooks, and collective bargaining agreements provide guidance on most issues related to COVID-19. However, the scope of COVID-19 warrants some special measures and flexibility. With this in mind, Human Resource Services (HRS) and the Emergency Operations Group (EOG) have provided answers to frequently asked questions (PDF) on a range of human resource issues related to the coronavirus, including telecommuting and use of leave. This information—and other updates—can be accessed via the university’s COVID-19 website.

The university is committed to the health and well-being of its employees and is dedicated to providing as much information as possible given the evolving nature of the coronavirus outbreak (“COVID-19”). The Human Resource FAQs (PDF) will be updated and supplemented as conditions evolve.
