Notably, 50% of the class hails from outside New England, reflecting UVM's growing national and international appeal. They represent 45 states and 23 countries. Meanwhile, UVM is also welcoming more Vermont students, with an estimated 8% increase in in-state undergraduates compared to last year.
Gateway to the Arts
This fall, the Fleming Museum marks its integration into UVM's new School of the Arts with 'PRAXIS: Recent Work by Studio Art Faculty at UVM,' presenting the creative output of 15 artists across various media. This exhibition explores 'praxis' as a transformative approach to art and teaching. Concurrently, 'Art and the Matter of Place' delves into the connection between art and place. The Fleming Museum's ongoing efforts to enhance object displays, especially in the new Collections Gallery, aim for a more inclusive and thought-provoking visitor experience.
