Once permanent FDA approval is granted for any one of the COVID-19 vaccines, all students entering or returning in fall 2021 will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

As of June 1, UVM students who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to take a weekly COVID test. You must submit a copy of your vaccination card to Student Health Services to be exempt from weekly testing. Here are the four simple steps to share your COVID vaccine information.

  1. Log in using your NetID to https://mywellbeing.uvm.edu
  2. Click the “Enter My COVID-19 Vaccination Information” button on the main screen.
  3. Click “Upload” to add a picture/image/pdf of your COVID-19 vaccination documentation (required).
  4. Enter dates for each dose and choose the vaccine name from the drop-down list, then click “Done.

On March 19, Governor Scott announced a plan to vaccinate all Vermonters by July 1. The governor's Vermont Forward reopening plan envisions lifting all gathering and event restrictions by July 4—earlier if the state's vaccination rate reaches 80% of eligible Vermonters. And we're nearly at goal!

It’s important to note that, despite the progress in vaccine distribution, public health mitigation measures—including testing—need to remain in place for those in our community who are not yet fully vaccinated. Any student who is not fully vaccinated who is required to test over the summer must continue to test every seven days.

It is uplifting and encouraging to be communicating about the vaccine and anticipating the return of our vibrant campus culture. See Current COVID Policies for processes and plans as we move toward returning to full in-person operations in August.
