Employee Vaccines and Resources

All UVM faculty and staff were required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 no later than January 4, 2022. For details, please visit the Employee Vaccination Requirement page.

A number of health and safety guidelines have been implemented to support and protect UVM faculty and staff. These operational and business policies and procedures follow Vermont Department of Health regulations, CDC recommendations, and local ordinances.

Essential Employees & Remote Work

Travel

Domestic research or university business travel (pdf), including attending conferences, is permitted for faculty, staff, and postdoctoral fellows, but may only occur with the prior approval of the appropriate dean or vice president. At least 14 days in advance of any travel, you must complete and submit a travel authorization in PeopleSoft. Travel must not begin without official authorization being received. You are responsible for understanding and adhering to quarantining requirements related to such travel. International travel is not allowed at this time.

Employee Wellness offers a host of programs — from nutrition coaching and stress management to Campus Rec classes and lunch and learns. Most programs are free and live streamed. Can't make the live event? Many Campus Rec employee classes will be posted on YouTube. Looking for a quick reset? Join Headspace, sponsored by UVM, for accessible meditations, at-work exercises and other stress-reducing breaks in your day.

Support for Remote Learning and Teaching

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is the hub for remote teaching strategies and support. The CTL shares strategies for using university-supported applications (Blackboard, MS Teams) and detailed how-to documentation for several other instructional technologies. Their events page offers opportunities for gathering remotely for assistance and support.
