snowy day with students walking on campus

All students are required to complete a Day-0 COVID-19 test at the start of spring semester. In addition, all students are required to complete a second test on Day 5, Day 6, or Day 7.

Specific Requirements Day 0:

  • Students who live on campus are required to complete a Day-0 test at the UVM COVID-19 Information and Service Center the day you move into your residence hall.
  • Students who live off campus are required to complete a test between Monday, January 10, 2022, and your first class.
  • College of Medicine students are required to complete a Day-0 test between Tuesday, January 4 and Friday, January 7, 2022.
  • Please note that students who return to UVM prior to Monday, January 10, 2022 and have tested are also required to test between Monday, January 10, 2022 and your first class, regardless of where you live (excluding students in the College of Medicine).
  • Schedule your test using the CoVerified App. Check out the Testing Center hours. Appointments are recommended and prioritized; there will be a delay for walk-in testing.
  • Students testing positive will be required to isolate for 10 days. UVM Student Health Service will contact you about isolation.

If for some reason you are unable to complete the required day-0 test by the designated date above, you may submit an exemption request. You will still be required to take a day-0 test as early as possible.

Specific Requirements Day 5, Day 6, or Day 7:

All students are required to complete a second test on Day 5, Day 6, or Day 7. Schedule your required Day 5, Day 6, or Day 7 test counting your first test as day 0. For example, if you did your Day-0 test on Sunday, January 16, your Day 5, Day 6, or Day 7 should occur between Friday, January 21 and Sunday, January 23.

  • Schedule your test using the CoVerified App. Check out the Testing Center hours.
  • Students testing positive will be required to isolate. UVM Student Health Service will contact you about isolation.
