Biography

Kisha Kalra

Appointed to the Board by the Associate Directors for the Appointment of Student Trustees, Inc., in 2021. Term expires in March 2023. Educated at Middlebury College, BA, Neuroscience, 2018; and UVM Larner College of Medicine, M.D. Candidate, class of 2023. Kisha serves as the appointed student representative for the Learning Environment and Professionalism (LEAP) Committee at the Larner College of Medicine. She is also a board director of the Medical Student COVID-19 Action Network (MSCAN), a medical student created initiative designed to address public health concerns. She previously served as co-leader of the American Medical Women’s Association UVM Chapter, in 2020. Kisha was awarded the B. Albert Ring M.D. Memorial Grant Award at the end of her medical school foundational curriculum. In college, she was captain of her Track and Field Team and ran the 100-meter hurdles. Before beginning medical school, she worked as a medical assistant for Integrative Dermatology in Newton, MA. She has a younger sister in UVM’s Nursing program.
