Wonder where the best solar, wind, geothermal opportunities are on your campus? In this session, we will present one institution’s year long process to answer this question through the development of a comprehensive campus renewable energy feasibility study. The project was funded by the college's Clean Energy Fund, a student fee designed to advance renewable energy research, education, and infrastructure on campus. The intention of the comprehensive campus renewable energy feasibility study was to provide a map and report of sites with optimal renewable energy production potential. Findings in the study will be incorporated into the college's campus master plan and information will be used for future solicitation of projects from the clean energy fund. Over the summer, interns were hired to work with the consulting firm to collect data and to develop outreach materials on the project. This presentation will discuss the develop of RFP criteria, the selection of a firm, internship program, and final deliverables.
