The UVM Eco-Reps Program is part of a broader sustainability in higher education movement, largely coordinated by the efforts of organizations such as the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). Since the first Eco-Reps program started at Tufts University in 2000, over forty similar programs have sprung up across the United States and Canada.
Here are a few ways to connect with Eco-Reps programs:
- AASHE provides a directory of student peer to peer sustainability outreach programs (often known as Eco-Reps): AASHE Directory
- You may join a listserv for program coordinators by sending a message with “subscribe” in the subject or text to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Christina Erickson's PhD Dissertation titled Peer to Peer Sustaianbility Outreach Programs: The interface of education and behavior change.
