Section Expectation

While interns receive course credit, this internship is run like a job, not like a class. Interns are responsible for setting their schedule and deciding on their projects in conjunction with their Vermont Public teams. Interns are expected to work about 15 hours a week at the Vermont Public station in Colchester (or sometimes remotely), meet deadlines, ask for help when they need it, and be an invaluable part of their Vermont Public teams. A high degree of independence and self-sufficiency is required for this position. This is a PAID internship for students ready to step up and work as a producer in an award-winning newsroom.

Evaluation

Interns will set goals at the beginning of their internship with the instructor and their Vermont Public team, and be evaluated on how well they meet those goals.
