The University of Vermont (UVM) is excited to host several HESA Hangouts & Affinity Spaces for prospective graduate students interested in the Higher Education & Student Affairs Administration (HESA) program. This is a great opportunity to speak with current HESA graduate students about their experiences.

It is our hope that HESA Hangouts can provide an opportunity to receive insight into the UVM HESA graduate student experience. Affinity spaces are also offered to connect prospective students with current students that identify as one or more of the following: Black, Indigenous, Person of Color (BIPOC), Biracial, Multiracial; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Asexual, + (LGBTQA+); Queer, Trans* Person of Color (QTPOC); Returner to the Academy (taken time off after undergrad), and those interested in becoming a Part-Time student. If you do not identify with any of the listed affinity groups, we offer General Information Sessions for prospective students as well.

Please feel free to participate in whichever HESA Hangout or Affinity Space you identify with most!

You may register for HESA Hangouts during the Fall, typically during early October.

Please note that your involvement with HESA Hangouts and Affinity Spaces will NOT be a factor in your UVM HESA admissions or graduate assistantship decision process.
