Kodi Udochukwu
Team: Analysis of Local News Stories and Programs
Mentor(s): Richard Watts, Ben Cooley
I am a rising junior at Vanderbilt University. I major in Human & Organizational Development, and I minor in Data Science. I am passionate about combining human experiences with data in order to drive change and highlight meaningful experiences that may otherwise go unnoticed. At Vanderbilt, I’m actively involved in student organizations as I lead weekly fellowship meetings, plan outreach events, and work in teams to improve group experiences and engagement. My academic and extracurricular experiences have sparked an interest in data analysis, as I believe that combining a data-driven approach with empathy and curiosity is a powerful approach. On a more personal note, I am passionate about storytelling. I’ve written a few short stories and screenplays, and last semester, I made my own short films! I’m also very passionate about soccer, and I’ve written a few articles about soccer topics that interest me. All in all, I’m very excited to be part of our research program. I’m looking forward to learning from mentors, collaborating with other participants, and exploring how data and storytelling can go in tandem!
