This series of five seminars will be held on select Mondays from 12\u20131 PM throughout the semester, with an approximately 30\u201340-minute presentation followed by 20-minutes for questions. Each presentation will be recorded and made available on our website after the event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11\/2\u00a0(Hybrid: Teams\/Davis Center Room 413)\u202f- Matt Scarborough<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Assessing Mechanisms of Phosphorus Removal at a Lake Champlain Basin Wastewater Treatment Plant.\u00a0Join online\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/meet\/288623824831075?p=feo5XJ2czVNA4Igw6e\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/meet\/288623824831075?p=feo5XJ2czVNA4Igw6e\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Scarborough\u00a0is an\u00a0Associate Professor\u00a0in UVM\u2019s\u00a0Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His\u00a0research focuses on the application of microbiomes to protect the natural environment and public health.\u00a0His\u00a0currently focuses on\u00a0the\u00a0management of organic wastes with the goal of harnessing reactor microbiomes to convert renewable feedstocks to valuable products\u00a0and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from landfills with soil microbiomes.
