The goal of the fellowship is to increase the capacity of our partner organizations and provide experience and technical knowledge for early-career professionals.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tA<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/seagrant\/sites\/default\/files\/uploads\/2025 LCSG Partnered Fellowship Call 6_20_25_FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0Request for Proposals<\/a> is now open seeking partner organizations to co-support a 1\u20132-year fellowship beginning as early as October 1, 2025. LCSG will provide up to $35,000 of support per year with the partner organization providing at least 50% match. Proposals are welcome from non-profit organizations, businesses, government agencies, or institutions of higher education working within the New York or Vermont portions of the Lake Champlain basin. Multiple organizations may apply collaboratively.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI am delighted to be seeking new partnered fellowship proposals. The partnered fellowship offers an unparalleled opportunity for early-career professionals to advance our understanding of the communities and environment of the Lake Champlain basin, while becoming immersed in Lake Champlain Sea Grant and a partner organization,\u201d said LCSG Director, Dr. Anne Jefferson.\u00a0\u201cI believe that the fellowship program offers a unique way to help our partners meet their needs, while also providing a fantastic professional development opportunity for an early-career professional.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tApplications will be reviewed by an independent panel that will make recommendations to the Lake Champlain Sea Grant Director for the\u00a0highest priority fellowship partnerships to pursue.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOnce the partner organization(s) is selected, Lake Champlain Sea Grant and the partner organization(s) will facilitate a competitive application process to select a highly qualified fellow. Each fellow will be employed either through the University of Vermont or by the partner organization.
