Dumping untreated sewage into the water is not only harmful to the environment\u2013it is also illegal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uvm.edu\/seagrant\/sewage-pumpout-navigation-app\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"3295\">The Pumpout Nav: Marina Pumpout Finder app<\/a><\/strong>, available for both Android and iOS devices, helps boaters quickly locate the closest sewage pumpout station for their vessels. Using the mobile device&#8217;s GPS location, the app displays the nearest pumpout stations as a map or list, helping boaters find the facilities they need. In addition to location information, the app also provides details about each facility, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operational status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost of service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hours of operation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marina location information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The app also offers instructions on how to use pumpout stations and provides information about the environmental risks and regulations regarding improper sewage discharge.
