Ashley Eaton will primarily be responsible for working with schools to schedule, implement, support, and evaluate their participation in Watershed Alliance programming. She will also be working with UVM Extension to further develop the 4H2O program. This programs aims to educate Vermont\u2019s youth about point and nonpoint source water pollution and to communicate the importance of maintaining healthy and clean waters in the state. Until March, she will also serve as the communications contact for Lake Champlain Sea Grant, sharing pertinent news related to maintaining healthy coastal ecosystems, and building climate resilient and scientifically literate communities.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley is a dedicated teacher and conservationist, having earned her B.S. in Elementary Education and Environmental Studies. She is currently enrolled in the Master&#8217;s of Science in Natural Resources Leadership for Sustainability (MSLS) program where she is focusing on the ecological and educational impacts of community-based service learning projects. Before joining LCSG she worked as an environmental educator and natural resource specialist for the Winooski Valley Park District and VT Fish and Wildlife, where her work focused on connecting youth through conservation education and stewardship opportunities with Vermont&#8217;s natural resources.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley\u2019s office is located in the Rubenstein Laboratory on College Street.
