John started his work with Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative (FEMC) (Vermont Monitoring Cooperative at the time) as a summer field intern for the Forest Health Monitoring program in 2016 after graduating from the University of Vermont. Following the field season, he transitioned from an intern to the Project and Field Coordinator. He aided in planning FEMC’s various field research, the FEMC conference, and working with FEMC partners to design and implement data web tools. As of 2019, John has transitioned to being the Monitoring and Services Coordinator with the FEMC. John continues to manage FEMC’s field operations along with multiple meteorological sites throughout Vermont from Lake Champlain to Mount Mansfield. Outside of work, John enjoys volleyball, photography, fishing on his kayak, and drumming.
