Laboratory Research Technician

Alex is a Laboratory Research Technician in the Bowden Watershed Research Lab for the streams component of the Arctic Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) Program. He conducts field work at Toolik Field Station in Northern Alaska during the summer, then analyzes the samples at the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Lab during the rest of the year.

Previously, Alex worked at the University of Michigan’s Biological Station as an Assistant Analytical Chemist as well as a middle and high school math and science teacher in Michigan.
