The UVMStrong advisory team and working groups have notified departments about Fall 2020 Operations planning. Each department and activity was asked to submit a Fall 2020 Operations Plan and to name a director, a safety officer, and a logistics coordinator to help implement that plan.

This Fall 2020 Operations Plan template and Resumption of In-Person Operations Checklist will guide departments in their planning. Primary planning considerations include:

  • Screening personnel for symptoms
  • Reducing the number of people in spaces
  • Having people remain physically distant
  • Requiring the use of face coverings
  • Upholding hygiene standards
  • Cleaning and disinfecting work areas and touch surfaces
  • Accessing fresh air
  • Wearing PPE as needed

Amendments, edits, and addenda to approved plans need to be written (track changes in approved plan) and submitted to Kelly.OMalley@uvm.edu. The Health & Safety reviewer who originally reviewed the plan will determine if this is a minor change that will be administratively approved or a substantial change that requires full committee review and approval. Approved amendments will be filed with the original plan and the supervisors and safety officer will be notified.
