At UVM, Learn where you live.
Starting Fall 2018, most UVM students will live in one of nine themed learning communities. Our programs foster community and create opportunities for academic engagement outside the classroom. The residential experience at UVM allows for intentional integration of academics, enhanced student connection within themes, thoughtful programming, and—most importantly—a feeling of home. Explore your options below to find your home at UVM.
HOUSING OPTIONS FOR 2017-2018
Select from a number of theme-based learning community options led by faculty and staff. You’ll soon find yourself surrounded by friends who have similar interests.
These diverse programs connect you to students, faculty, staff, and community leaders. Unique to UVM, they are constantly evolving based on student design, input, and leadership.
These programs are hosted by academic units, require academic interest in a topic, and may be connected to an academic advisor.
For the 2017-2018 academic year, more than 70% our first-year students have chosen to live in one of the communities described above. But if you choose not to live in one of these communities, our traditional housing offers thoughtful, peer-led programming designed to give you a successful start at UVM. Current students are invited to apply for a variety of existing programs or choose traditional housing.
